HAHAHA...you mean you actually waited until they were teenagers to kick into embarrassment mode? I manage to embarrass my boys on a regular basis although not as much as their dad does! But deep down, the kids love that we are so involved in their lives and all their friends think we are awesome parents. So embarrass away in a fun way and never in a degrading way.

... and thanks to you for telling us, I'll make Riccardo falling 1 meter underground! :)

And the use of the double consonants in the word "embarrassment" causes many people to spell the word harassment improperly.

I see three words being mispelled all of the time and it is because of these "doubles"......accommodate, commitment and harassment.

I agree that embarrassing is an innate skill that actualizes when your kids become teenagers, its a part of life anyway. Keep up the good work.

What I've Been Reading Lately

  • Manchild in the Promised Land lost me about 2/3 of the way through. So I'm on to this recommendation from JoAnn. I may return to Manchild, but I think I need a quick read right now.

  • I'm very excited to read this book recommended by Debbie Ellman and enthusiastically confirmed by my BF Amy!

  • This recommendation came from...well, I saw a woman so immersed (pun intended) in it that she was reading it IN the pool at a hotel I was staying at. This was later confirmed by a bookseller at an independent bookstore (of course) in Sarasota.

  • How could this have sat on my shelf for so long without screaming, "Read me!" and jumping into my waiting arms?

  • Sent by a publisher for my review. LOVED IT!!!!!
