Have you noticed that when you get someone's cell phone voice mail, after the greeting, the electronic voice comes on and says, "To leave a message, press 1 or just wait for the tone. To leave a numeric page, (blah, blah, blah...an explanation of a bunch of things I wouldn't do anyway).
In order for me to press 1, I would have to take the phone from my ear, click on the button for the keypad and then press 1. Obviously if I ever wanted to leave a numeric page it would be even more complicated.
I would like to conduct a non-scientific poll here and ask, "Does anyone leave a numeric page?" Can we just get rid of the voice and after our greeting have it go straight to the tone?
Actually this isn't really a big deal with me because most of my friends don't even listen to their voice mail. They just look at their phone and see that I have called (see, no need for a numeric page...I come up on their recent call lists!) and call back without leaving a message.
Oh...and if anyone actually listened to our suggestion, I would suggest an option that says, "To hang up and dial this person on another of his/her multiple phone numbers, just say HOME, OFFICE, HUSBAND'S CELL, etc."
What do you do when you get someone's cell phone voice mail? What suggestions do you have to improve the system?
Di
I hate that page thing. I am usually impatiently wanting to speak to my kids because they are late or something. This just further ticks me off!

And what about when you're doing this and it's dark out and you're drivin in your car (I know, I shouldn't be on the phone in my car) and by the time the voice finishes asking you what you want to do, the light on your phone has gone out. So now you have to find the #1 in the dark. So you miss it and hit send by mistake and now you've lost the call altogether.
But I do wish my friends would listen to my messages before calling me back because I just have to repeat everything I just said in the message.....after hitting #1 of course.

I do not even know what a numeric page is!!!
When I get cell voicemail I sometimes leave a message or if it is really important, I send the person a text....
I really only text a few people...not like "kids" today who no longer know how to talk because all they do is text!

I've never been exactly sure what a numeric page is. I think I'll press 5 next time i get someone's voicemail and see what I have to do to send one.

What is a numderic page?? I just wanted to press it to see what it was. It really just makes it more time consuming to just leave a simple message... Get rid of it...

A numeric page is a notification that can be sent to a pager number to page the person. Its only sends your phone numner.
