Doing Resolutions the Right Way

I refuse to do New Year's Resolutions. I've never seen anyone really stick to one, so why set myself up to fail?

But I think that what I will do is congratulate myself for doing things I've been meaning to do. And for the first couple of months of the year, I'll tell myself that I have accomplished a resolution.

I have recently had a bad habit of not categorizing my blog posts. Categories mean nothing to some blog readers. But if someone comes upon my blog and really likes a post I wrote about Grammar Rants or Depression, it is nice for that person to be able to easily find other posts on the same subject.

So...this morning I updated my categories, removing the ones I'll never use and adding some that are essential. (I decided that the Cantina deserved its own category.) Then I went back to all of my uncategorized posts and categorized them!!!

BTW, it occurs to me we have a whole new category of housework that our mothers never had! "Computer housecleaning," including link-deleting, tag-adding, and other chores that fascinate me about as much as scrubbing the sink...
