Should be "hundreds of ballplayers' autographs."

what Karen said.
And what about "grounds crew"? I think an apostrophe after "grounds" would certainly be in order.....grounds' crew
Living near Philly, I see the name of this facility all the time, and I really hate seeing Veterans Stadium without an apostrophe at the end of Veterans.

"Ballplayer's" would be the singular, right? And yet hundreds makes it not so singular.

Not sure about grammar but I do see one, maybe 2, errors of punctuation. It should be " ballplayers' " and it may not apply because it is a proper noun, not a common noun, but should it be " Veterans' " ?

Um, was there just one player's autograph? Ballplayers'...you were totally right!

I concur. The sign seems to be implying that one ballplayer autographed the walls hundreds of time.
