13 Things I Would Indulge In if Money Was No Object (and it always is!)
I've been away from TT for a while. And I miss it. Plus I wanted to make sure that all the TT-ers got a chance to enter my Eight Below giveaway. So here's a very shallow, self-indulgent TT, prefaced of course with the disclaimer that these indulgences would come AFTER I solved world hunger and clothed the poor.
1. A maid to do all the laundry.
2. A new set of golf clubs
3. A brand new pink golf cart.
4. A MacBook Air. Just because I like new technology. And it's perfect for me for my uses.
5. Machine that mutes my voice whenever I'm about to say, "Because I said so."
6. Golf trip to Maui. My soul-blog-mate Leigh has me thinking about Maui!
7. Bookshelves on a second wall in my study. For the sake of economy, I decided to do built-in shelves on just one wall, but I would LOVE to do the adjacent wall as well.
8. A convertible. I've never had one. And I hardly ever even use the sunroof in my Mommy-van. But I would love to have a sporty little convertible.
9. Plastic surgery. I said I was going to be self-indulgent here. Just a little boob lift and tummy tuck. Nothing major.
10. HBO and Showtime. This time of year when TV sucks, it would be nice to have pay channels.
11. A zoom lens for my Nikon D40. Even though my friend Stef is better at using the camera than I am, it would be a good addition.
12. Laser hair removal. That's enough information. You can try to imagine where.
13. A chauffeur for my kids. Sometimes that's what I feel like. It would be great to be able to delegate that responsibility.
What would you indulge in???
Di

That would be nice wouldn't it? I would love to do the same things.

Great list! I would indulge in MANY of those too (although not the gold-related ones!). Especially 1, 4, 9 and 10! I'd also like a dSLR, so 11 could be on my list too... eventually :)
Happy TT!

My indulgences would have something to do with shoes, handbags, and unlimited account that I did not need to pay, and Bloomingdales!

I'd pay off my mortgage and fix up the house. Happy TT.

I am on board with all the golf references (except the pink cart).

Cooking school in Italy. A small house in the south of france and a privater jet to get there. A new road bike. A new tennis racquet. A lap pool in our basement. A condo at Sugarloaf in ME and a driver to shuttle us back and forth on the weekends. Our own house on Block Island RI. A driver for me in my electric, convertible-top car. A robot that does laundry. Laser hair removal...for my LEGS. And can i pay someone to lose 10 pounds for me? :)

If money were no object and I were pampering myself... radial keratotomy--no more glasses!

The maid sounds pretty good about now. I think I'd also get a new hybrid car.

Personal trainer. House in mountains. Freedom from bill-worries, but not necessarly super-rich, just lessened stress. Maid.

I like the idea of #1... And then a personal trainer would always be nice. :)
I am currently indulging in laser hair removal right now. It's great - I highly recommend it. It's also not nearly as much money as I thought it would be, at least here in Michigan

Isn't it fun to dream a little? I like that maid idea. If money were no object (and everyone had food and clothes) I think I'd have an apartment in San Francisco. That way I could bother my son all the time.
Good TT. have a great day!

wow. where would i even begin?
i'd figure out how i'd NEVER have to drive carpool. and i'd buy my dream house. and i'd get a tummy tuck. and a trainer. and a chef. and a blackberry.

I would buy all the books I want, give the local pet shelter money for the animal care, a new BMW... I love to daydream about this!
Thanks for visiting my goddess sign TT.

I would love to have a maid, but I'd be too embarassed by my mess to let her in the door.

I am with you on the hair removal. AMEN!
Posted by: Heather | June 05, 2008 at 02:58 PM
Gosh, MANY of the same things! lol Although my trip to Maui would have nothing to do w/ golf. ;) I'd just love to be there. Tummy tuck & removal stretch marks-most definitely.
A personal trainer & chef would also be nice. Maybe a nanny on standby, but not full-time.
Fun list!

Personal chef. Massage therapist on call. Personal trainer. Personal hair stylist. I'm good at spending money I don't have. Great TT!

If money were no object I'd take a vacation that was a month long and included Kauai and Scotland. For the purposes of photography, you know. Also, a whole day of pampering at a spa.
Sigh.

Hey! I have an idea for your No. 10. (It might be cheaper, I'm not sure ...) If you subscribe to Netflix, it includes instant downloads of a lot of TV series to your computer (and then, if you have the right cable (as in, cord), you can also watch them on your TV. Just a thought. We are HBO-less, so we're trying this. It beats having to remember to return rentals.
