How about the juxtaposition of the cow bowl and my sad little egg whisk? I think the little guy on the whisk is sad because I am making him beat up his friends.
Dooce would have portrayed these items so much more artfully!

I have been struggling for a week to arrange a composition of objects which I then have to paint using watercolor. Never mind the fact that I cannot draw. I have arranged a yellow pepper, a striped eggplant, and a tomato umpteen different ways. Then I photograph them. Then my husband futzes with my photo using Photoshop. I still do not have them right. Since this "assignment" is due on Monday, I need to get moving on this.
BTW, love your new blog design.

I say your photo is just perfect! I am sorry but no ones like is that clean, pristine and clutter free, esp in the kitchen!
Oh and JoAnn - if you see this before Monday - Take the veggies outside and put them in the garden, in the grass or in the weeds like they just fell there. Then take the photo from a bunch of points of view. When I photograph my garden or whatnot for my site - it takes 100 shoots for just the right one. We shouldn't be so hard on ourselves... ;-)

Thanks for the tip, Heather. Will try that sometime.
I did finally get an arrangement that is do-able, but if I knew how to draw it would realllly help. I must have taken 50 pictures and ended up cutting the stupid tomato out of one and moving to another picture. I have probably used an entire color cartridge in the printer.
Thanks again
