There are moments in your life when the stars align and you meet a person you know will be your friend for life. I have been so fortunate to have had this happen a few times over the years. What is so cool about that moment happening when I met Stacy is that our daughters also had that moment!
Casey and Haley have a connection that includes a penchant for reading, a bizarre sense of humor and a slightly disturbing obsession with One Tree Hill.
Stacy and I share a mutual awe of one another (me for her fashion sense and she for my Mac-ability), the ability to say the same thing at the same time and, despite our utterly disparate backgrounds, the nebulous quality of "getting" each other.
I need not mention the innate fabulousness of the two generations of friends because it is so evident in the pictures!
And in one brief moment on the beach, I saw the generation of friends that preceded us and the one that is surely waiting for us in years to come:
