I pride myself on being the foremost authority on grammar and punctuation, so I look forward to my daily e-mail containing the SAT Question of the Day. My daughter is in 9th grade and inexplicably took the PSAT this year. Turns out that she took it because it ensured her a release from class one day. Hey, bigger decisions have been made for lesser reasons (e.g. Amy choosing a college because the girl in the down vest sitting on a mountain on the cover of the school info looked cool).
When she brought home her (spectacular...forgive mother bragging) results, there was a link to sign up for the SAT Question of the Day by e-mail. I open them with a little trepidation...will it be English which I will ace or Math which will strain my brain as I try to recall what Pi has to do with anything, the calculation of the hypotenuse and what the hell "x" is. I am chagrined (see, if "chagrined" was used in one of those analogy questions, I would get it right!) to report that I got stumped by an English question (you can click on the image below to go to the College Board web site and view the question of the day or subscribe to it):
OK hotshot...you try it.

I vote "B" -- "and" should be "to," right? Something ranges "from" something "to" something else, not "from...and."

I knew I would hear from you on this!!! Others from whom I absolutely expect to hear include:
My Mom, My Sister Linda, My BF Amy, Karen T. (if she reads it)

i vote B too. Today's one is about Math and some weird loopy symbol that they hadn't yet invented in 1979.
