I have been such a slacker blogger that it is embarrassing! But life has overtaken my passion for reading which has halted my posting of book reviews.
But it will not stop me from my mission to promote Snail Mail Sunday. As I look back over the past week, the opportunities for someone to snail mail abound. Shall I send a card to my son's teacher who pretty much walks on water in my estimation, going above and beyond while his friend/her student, Casey, is in the hospital? Should I send a card to the nurses who look the other way as six of Casey's friends cuddle on the bed with her? Should I send a note to my friend Barb who called just to say "hey"? Should I send a card to my aunt and uncle with whom we had dinner last Sunday night to say, it was great to see you?
I think I'll go with the last. I was a flower girl in Carol & Leard's wedding and we have seen each other sporadically over the years. But I have felt connected with them through seeing them periodically and through my parents' ongoing relationship with them. It's easy to lose track of relatives in a big extended family and when you have the chance, it's great to reconnect!
Is there anyone in your family who would enjoy getting a snail mail from you?
Di
